The Summer USACO Camp is our most comprehensive program yet, designed to help talented and motivated students improve their USACO contest skills during the summer break. Led by expert teacher Mr. James Yang, students will be taught and trained in a challenging and engaging class environment. The program consists of intensive lectures, practice sessions, in-class competitions, and mock contests, where students will solve real and modified USACO contest problems from recent years. The problem-solving component will also include an in-class competition, with a leaderboard to track progress. C++ will be the main instructional language for all camps, as explained in this article.
Schedule:
10am-12pm CDT: Lecture. The teacher will cover algorithms.
2pm-4pm CDT: Problem Solving Session. The teacher will explain the challenging problems in the assignments.
5pm-7pm CDT: QA session with TA. The TA will answer any questions students have about the lecture or the homework problems.
